Adapt single-phase input high voltage power modules of any power level to a three-phase power system with the help of the ACFE Power Module
Hackettstown, NJ – August 2024 – The new ACFE module offers a fully isolated 360VDC output, capable of powering Astrodyne TDI's standard 100-240VAC converters from a 380-480VAC, 3-phase power source. Multiple ACFE modules can be connected in parallel current-sharing groups to meet higher power demands.
AC Front End module operates from a wide, globally-used AC input range of 380-480Vac at 50-60Hz, Delta or WYE connection. The ACFE module delivers a fixed 360V output to downstream power modules and provides up to 2.2KW of power with reliable performance. It showcases a maximum input current rating of 10A at 480VAC, demonstrating a power factor exceeding 0.95 for optimal efficiency. Operating at an impressive efficiency of over 91%, the module maintains ripple/noise levels below 1% peak-to-peak of Vo(max). It ensures stability with less than a 2% variation from no load to full load.
The ACFE ambient operating temperatures range from -30 to +55°C, with no derating The module can withstand humidity levels of 0% to 95% non-condensing. ACFE provides a fully isolated output and complies with safety standards such as UL/IEC/EN 62368-1 (2nd Ed) and SEMI F47. ACFE is a forced air-cooled module and is equipped with internal fan cooling. , The compact module weighs 3.5 lbs with dimensions of 5.6" x 1.70" x 11.58". Mounting options include a blind mate version for easy front plug-in installation or a hard-wired version with 4 fixing points on the chassis.
The ACFE power module by Astrodyne TDI also offers advanced control features for seamless operation. Supporting parallel and redundant operation, the module ensures automatic current sharing for applications requiring higher power. Hot swap compatibly allows for a reduced Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) reducing downtime and increasing productivity.
